How to raise the competitiveness of Vietnam's economy?

The competitiveness of Vietnam's economy has gradually improved in line with the opening of the country's market. But the competitiveness of the Vietnam’s economy is still limited in comparison with its requirement for boosting the economic integrative process and developing of the socialism-oriented market economy. There are many shortcomings, regarding the economic such as: administrative reform, the economic and social environments, the competitiveness of Vietnam’s enterprises, which is limited in terms of prices, productivities, inputs, professional levels, labor and costs. When those shortcomings are overcame, the competitiveness of Vietnam’s economy will be improve.

The article analyzes the successes and the weakness of the country’s laborer export activities during the renovation process. It is also mentioned about the overview of Vietnamese laborer export activities from 1991 until now and the solutions to develop the country’s laborer export markets in the next years. The main measures are recommenced on improving the quality of laborers for export, continuing to reform the macroeconomic policies, creating a favorable legal environment that facilitates the exports of laborers to further expand the laborer export markets.

According to the "doi moi" policy Vietnamese economy has recorded a relatively high growth, facilitating the industrialization and modernization of the country. In the fact that, Vietnamese economy is faced with quite a few problems and challenges in a context of economic globalization.The article is designed to analyze the status of Vietnamese economy at present. The level of the socio-economic development in terms of growth, incomes, economic structure, poverty and economic gap, economic institutions, international competition of Vietnamese economy are also mentioned. The author clarify the features of economic globalization, which brings about opportunities for a shortening process of Vietnamese industrialization and mondernization in the early years of the twenty first century.
