A study of science of value

Late XX century and early XXI century has seen the greatest attention to issue of value-value system, value scal, value index and value orientation in the world and in Vietnam. Researches of ancient philosophers like Protagore, then Hme, Kant, and Nietzche have formed a science which is called science of value. Up to now, this science has passed through development/establishment stages from classic, post-Nietzsche to modern scinece of value nowadays. Science of value is not only a sub-subject of philosophy, but also an independent science which has relation to other sciences such as political science, sociology (studies aesthetic values) etc. One of the ebullient activities of science of value is World Value Survey and regional value survey (Thermometer) which have been systematically conducted since early 80s to present. In Vietnam, research and survey of value is still a new subject (firstly being started in the State Science and Technology Program KX 07(1990-1995) and KX 05(2000-2005) and then in the participation of Human Research Institute in World Value Survey in 2001). Hopefully this article is somewhat a contribution to development of social sciences in general and science of value in particular in Vietnam.

Genetic materials and human fate

Human fate is in the rule of inborn nature and living nature. Environment creates the living nature so it canbe changed but the inborn nature (genetic heritage) is almost impossible to change. Scientists provide an estimate of human genes of about 35.000. A gene functions in accordance with inborn genetic factors and outside factors (hte living factors). Therefore, many scientists are trying to get to know gene function, how ADN opens and closes in hope of controlling them to be able to change human fate. For example controlling of gene function can help treatment of cancer and virus infection. In short, human being should and could interfere in the living nature to partly improve his fate.

Immanuel Kant: From critical philosophy to human study

Recently when anthropology is seen as a science in fashion, researchers realised with a starr that it was Kant himself who was the first member of European Philosophy proposed and "most fiercely protected" the idea of anthropology as an independent science with its own object and research method. This object is human-the unique and misterious entily which is out of capacity of traditional awareness tools, like ontologism, theory of knowledge, logical science, ethics, and aesthetics, and even like natural philosophy, social philosophy and historical philosophy etc. to be explored. This is a very original idea which afterwards has been developed by Kierkegaard, Dostoievski, Heidegger, Rickert, Scheler, and Sartre etc. to give a better view on its rationality. With the application of heurmernetics, this idea nowadays has been proved as a key direction in human awareness with all the complication of this object-an entity of biological and social aspects, of individual and collective aspects, and of physical and spiritual aspects... From Kant time, anthropology has made great steps forwards in human awareness and living. Presently, people do not mention about Kant in talk of anthropology, but definitely his contribution to this science is impossiblly denied.
