Contributing study on the chemical compounds of the Pluchea pteropoda Hemsl. tree in Nghe An province
-
Five compounds: Stigmast - 5.22 - dien - 3beta - ol; hop - 17 (21) - en - 3beta - yl- acetate; 2.6 - dihydroxy - 4 - methoxy acetophenone; 2 - (pent - 1, 3- diynyl) - 5 - (3, 4 - dihydroxy but -1- inyl) - thiophene ; trans - stigmast - 5; 22 - dien - 3beta - glucopyranoside were isolated from the roots of Pluchea pteropoda Hemsl from Vinh city, Nghe An province. Their structures were elucidated by means of spectroscopic methods: EI - MS, 1H- NMR, 13C- NMR and DEPT. One of them has been firstly as trans - stigmast 5, 22 - dien - 3beta - glucopyranoside presented.

Research on sythesis and characteristics of Biodiezel from soybean oil by using NaOH catalyst
-
There is an increasing interest in many countries to research for suitable alternative fuels that are environmental friendly. In this study, soybean oil was transesterified with methanol using sodium hydroxide as catalyst to obtain soybean oil methyl ester. The products of the transesterification reactions were identified by GC-MS, IR. In addition, fuel properties and specifications are determined and discussed.

Simulating the quantum molecular dynamics of the adsorption process of ethylic alcohol on Titan oxyde
-
This paper deals with the Ab-initio Molecular Dynamics and Density Functional Theory calculation of the dissociated adsorption process of ethylic alcohol molecule on TiO2 - anatase layer. The calculated results show that TiO2 anatase has strong oxydation - reduction activity in the decomposition reaction of ethylic alcohol molecule.

Synthesizing, Characterizing and testing the chemical activities of complexes Ni(II) and Cu(II) with Thiosemicacbazoronellal
-
Citronellal thiosemicarbazone and its complexes Ni(thcitr)2 and Cu(thcitr)2 were synthesized and characterized by means of IR, UV- VIS, ESI- MS, elemental analysis. The biological activity of ligand and its complexes have been tested against the fungi Asp. niger and F.oxysporum; the bacteria of Gram(-) group, E.coli, P.aeruginosa; the bacteria of Gram(+) group, S.aureus and the yeasts S.cerevisiae, C.albical. The results showed that the anti-microorganism activity of these complexes is higher than that of ligand.

The graft copolymerization of some vinyl monomers onto native tapioca starch in sulfuric acid medium
-
The graft copolymerization of some vinyl monomers onto native tapioca starch was carried out with ceric salt as initiator and in sulfuric medium. The effects of temperature, initiator concentration, sulfuric acid concentration, and feed composition were investigated. Graft copolymers were characterized by FTIR measurements.
