This research was conducted on eight Shan tea varieties and nine exotic varieties. According to research findings, Shan varieties which came from mountainous areas and were transplanted in low land areas, not only were of high quality but also had high nutritional contents such as tannin, glucose, protein and dissolvent. China and Taiwan's exotic varieties have a lower content of tannin but a higher content of glucose, amino-acid and aroma than that of the central areas of Vietnam.
