Fixed cultivation and settlement for ethic minorities plays a vital role in the national economy- politics and security. From 1992 to 2002, the State and the Party invested in 771 projects with a total capital of VND 1,189 billion. The initial aims of the fixed cultivation and settlement for ethic minorities are to help them in focus on commercial agricultural production restrain forest destroying and reduce poverty. In this article, the obstacles and solutions were investigated to improve the fixed cultivation and settlement for ethic minorities in the coming years.
